Conway Counseling provides counseling which takes the whole person and their life experiences into consideration. Principles are based on looking at the person’s mind, body, and spirit. Understanding that each client is different and being conscious of their totality; it’s important to focus on the mind as well as physical health. After all, what affects the mind affects the body and what affects the body affects the mind.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is widely used for depression, anxiety, anger, and other mood disturbances. Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) is a therapy designed specifically for persons diagnosed with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). I have found in utilizing CPT with my clients that I have a passion for helping others with PTSD and stress. CPT is an effective 12 week counseling program with great results.
My work experiences are with children, couples, and person’s with grief, stress, depression, anxiety, and PTSD. I have also worked closely with patients in inpatient & outpatient psychiatric care for persons diagnosed with Major Depression Disorder, Bipolar, Schizophrenia, and Alzheimer’s.
My background and beliefs are of Christian values, but I do not discriminate of other’s religious beliefs, race, or cultural backgrounds.
